Owning a washing machine can literally change your life. They are extremely practical, which means no more backaches and lengthy washing piece by piece. Although washing machines can be a little expensive at first, they can save you a lot of time and money in the long run.
There are machines in different price ranges, some fully automatic and some semi-automatic, so you have several options. If you’re planning to buy one soon, or if you’ve recently bought a machine and are still learning how to operate it, these simple tips will help.
what do you need:
What you need most is a soap suitable for your washing machine. They’re made with a different formula than other types of soap, so they’re also gentler on your clothes and your washing machine.
So make sure you have a machine-friendly soap, whether it’s in liquid or powder form. You can also decide to use a machine-washable fabric conditioner for added fragrance and a machine-washable stain remover to remove stains.
The first step
The first step is to prepare. Check clothing labels to see if they are machine washable.
You also want to separate light clothes from dark clothes so that dark colors don’t stain your light clothes. The last step in preparation is to choose the right amount of laundry to be washed at one time so that the washing machine is not too heavy. It depends on how many kilograms your machine can handle.
The second step
Put the clothes in the washing machine and close the lid tightly. If it is a front loader it will be in the front, if it is a top loader it will be at the top. Double check that your clothes have enough room to move.
The third step
Then open the detergent drawer of the washing machine. This is where you pour the soap, fabric softener and prewash. Confirm the correct portion and serving size of each product in the manual. You can also use detergent packets in some machines. If that’s what you’re using, just throw it in the laundry. It will be slightly different for semi-automatic machines. Let a little water flow in first and then add enough detergent.
The fourth step
Make sure the detergent drawer is closed properly. Then switch on and select the appropriate option based on the materials you want to wash, their weight, degree of soiling and whether you want to pre-wash. Rinse & Dry or Spin must also be selected. You should follow your machine’s operating instructions for this step as they vary. Once that’s all done, start the loop.
The fifth step
When the time comes, if your machine is a washer and dryer, just take the clothes off and fold them. If it has a spin-out option, hang the clothes outside to dry properly.
With a semi-automatic washing machine, you will drain the water, add more water to the rinse and spin before hanging the clothes to dry.
